Meet Dr. Timothy Peterson
Dr. Timothy Peterson
Dr. Timothy J. Peterson, B.S., D.C. was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Dr. Peterson first became interested in being a Chiropractor at a young age. When he was born it was a very difficult delivery. His spine was injured in the delivery process. As a result he suffered from severe headaches and digestive problems as a young child. "The headaches were so severe I was having trouble concentrating in school, and often the headaches would put me in bed." His parents heard of a Grostic Upper Cervical Chiropractor in Marshfield, Dr. Meninga. His parents drove him to Marshfield for adjustments, and the results were dramatic and immediate. "I knew at that age, 7 years old, that I wanted to help people in the same special way that I was helped. I decided to become a Chiropractor that day."
His family then moved to Bloomer when he was 15 years old. He attended high school in Bloomer, and was very active in student council, band and forensics. In his senior year, he was elected as band president, and he also was presented with the "Outstanding Teenager Award". He competed in Madison at State Forensics for two consecutive years.
After high school graduation he attended the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. He later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. Dr. Peterson was awarded his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1980. He graduated Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors). He was inducted into the prestigious Pi Tau Delta Honor Society during his final year at Palmer College.
After receiving his Wisconsin license to practice, he founded the Peterson Chiropractic Clinic in Bloomer, Wisconsin. His brother Dr. Ronald Peterson joined the Clinic in 1983.
Dr. Peterson was originally trained in the NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) procedure in 1980. He then became certified in the Grostic Upper Cervical Procedure in 1981. He constantly strives to improve and update his knowledge in the field of Chiropractic. He has completed extensive study at Palmer College of Chiropractic, and at other Chiropractic Colleges in diagnostic X-ray interpretation, and Upper Cervical Technique.
Certified in nutrition counseling and Enzyme Therapy, Dr. Peterson also uses an innovative nutritional approach to improve health. He is a published author and has published his work in various chiropractic journals. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, research, writing, and fishing.
Dr. Peterson says that his three priorities in life are God, his family and his patients. "I am a lucky man to have such a terrific family, and I thank God for the ability to help people in the special way that we do." Dr. Peterson's wife, Ann, is a Registered Nurse licensed in Wisconsin. Dr. Peterson and his wife reside in Bloomer with their three children.
